Introduction

Hello! I’m Vanessa Bowman, FASD High School Math Teacher

I’m thrilled to be your math teacher this year! My passion for mathematics goes far beyond just numbers and equations. In my classroom, students are tasked to practice decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Students will also learn to apply logic, think abstractly and sequentially, communicate effectively regarding mathematical understanding, and most importantly practice perseverance when things get a little bit difficult. With my years of teaching experience and a degree from the University of South Dakota, I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where everyone can succeed.  My goal is to challenge my students and help them develop the skills necessary to lead successful, happy lifestyles as adults.  Along the way, I hope to inspire my students follow their dreams and choose joy and kindness in their daily interactions.
